Unboxing & What’s Included:
Check your box for the following:
Smoke & Fire Alarm (pre-attached to bracket)
AC Quick Connector with pigtail wires
Alarm locking pin (moulded into bracket)
User manual
Powering the Device
Connect to 120V AC using the included quick connector.
Activate the alarm by removing the battery pull tab and listen for one long beep.
Plug the quick connector into the alarm base and twist onto the mounting bracket.
Common Setup Issues:
Alarm doesn’t sound on activation:
- Ensure the pull tab is fully removed.
- Verify AC power is present and the breaker is on.
Green LED is off:
- Indicates no AC power. Check connections and fuse box.
Not responding to the interconnect system:
- Confirm proper wiring and model compatibility.
Set up Steps:
Turn off the power at the breaker.
Remove the alarm from the mounting bracket.
Wire the quick connector:
Black to HOT, White to NEUTRAL, Yellow for interconnect.
Attach the mounting bracket to the electrical box.
Remove the battery pull tab to activate backup power.
Press and release Test button. Alarm should sound.
Plug in the AC connector and mount the alarm.
Turn on the AC power and check the LED indicators.
Test the alarm again after installation.
